Fully-Automated Machine Designed Specifically For Thin Books, Short-Run Production

The Horizon BQ 270 Perfect Binder

Rochester, N.Y. - The Riverside Group, a full-service bindery and print finisher located here, recently installed a high-speed Horizon BQ 270 perfect binding line. The Horizon system was designed specifically for shorter runs of books between 1 mm (0.04”) and 50 mm (2”) and includes fully automated set-up, resulting in reduced makeready and project turnaround.

Other production benefits of the Horizon system include vacuum-feeding of signatures and covers suitable for a wide range of stocks. All cover scoring is also performed automatically, ensuring consistent and accurate spine text positioning.
